Jan Hollez
Jan Hollez is a serial technology entrepreneur and operator. He is the co-founder and former CTO of Deliverect, one of Europe’s fastest-growing SaaS companies, where he helped scale the company from a founding team of four to more than 500 employees across 13 countries. Deliverect raised more than $235 million from leading international investors including Smartfin, OMERS Ventures, DST Global, Redpoint, Coatue and Alkeon.
Before Deliverect, Jan co-founded Posios, an iPad-based point-of-sale platform for the hospitality sector, which was acquired by Lightspeed in 2014. After the acquisition, he played a key role in scaling Lightspeed’s hospitality division from the original Posios team into a major international business unit. Through Posios, Lightspeed and Deliverect, Jan built deep experience in B2B software, product development, systems integration, international scaling, M&A and post-merger integration.
Jan started his career as a researcher at IBBT, later integrated into iMinds and imec, and is a double alumnus of imec.istart. He was named ICT Personality of the Year in 2022 and is actively involved in the Belgian technology ecosystem as a founding member, mentor and investor in the Wintercircus project, member of the Ghent Economic Board and independent board member at PMV. Within the Smartfin Space & Defence Fund, Jan brings founder and operator experience in scaling complex technology platforms, with particular relevance for space and Defence markets where interoperability, software speed, reliability and international commercialization are increasingly critical.
