Luc Synaeghel

Luc is the founder and managing partner (since 1997) of the Belgian private equity company Partners At Venture.

He was also the Chief Investment Officer of Geneva-based private bank Banque Thaler (2010 – 2017).

Prior to that, Luc was active as a merchant navy officer (1981-1986) and financial analyst (1987 – 1988) before becoming general manager of several financial publications in Europe (1989 – 1996).

Luc is actually also serving as a director in several Norwegian shipping companies and acts as an advisor to Banque Thaler and to Rett Kurs, a Belgian shipping investment fund.

Luc holds a degree as Merchant Navy Officer from the Antwerp Nautical College, a Master’s degree in Maritime Sciences from the University of Antwerp and a Master in Portfolio Management from ICHEC, Brussels.
