Saumitra Dubey

A tech M&A Banker turned VC turned Operator, Saumitra was born in India, studied in Delhi and London, and has been living internationally for over a decade.

Saumitra joined Smartfin from Recharge (Smartfin portfolio company) where he was part of the management team, leading in-house corporate development and M&A, and driving the largest strategic exit by a fintech in the Dutch ecosystem.  Prior to Recharge, Saumitra held technology investment roles spanning napkin-stage to growth, following a formative career in executing growth capital and tech M&A transactions for leading startups at J.P. Morgan in London.

His passion for technology was shaped early through engineering in Computers & Electronics at Delhi University, and later refined through an MBA from London Business School.
